Spread Colour Around You


Hello!

Children love to colour and draw. Today I suggest you to change a bit the drawing concept and look for new canvases for your master pieces. Forget about the paper and get your paint and brushes, your crayons and felt tips, and spread your art around the house.

You can decorate your windows with markers, and create beautiful stain-glass windows. Bring your brushes and paintings to your terraces or balconies and colour your windows.

Search around the house and colour and decorate old boxes or cardboards. If you have chalk you can also find a safe place around the house to draw on the floor.

Lemon Volcanoes

Hello! Next week we have planned some activities related to fruits and vegetables for our children from school. We have also prepared a great experiment that you can do at home: lemon volcanoes. MATERIALS: 1 or 2 lemons. Baking soda. Food coloring (optional). A little stick. PROCEDURE: First we have to cut the lemon's top and bottom, so you can place the lemon standing and they don't fall. Carve a little bit of the pulp, to make some room for the baking soda. Add some food colouring, in the hole you 've made before, if you want to make the eruption more expectacular. Pour a couple of tea spoons of baking soda inside too. With a wooden stick, let your child to prick the lemon to let the juice out and mix with the baking soda and enjoy the expectacle. Nature Hunt // Earth Day

Hello! I'd like to invite you and your children to a Nature Hunt at home. Yes, you did read well, at home. As we can not go out and look for little treasures from Nature like stones, sticks, pine cones, flowers, leaves etc. I propose you to look around your home and retrieve that fine stuff that can fill in that "Natural Treasure" cathegory, those objects that you and your family gathered through hikes, park days and picnic moments. If you and your kids feel crafty, you can use your treasures to design mandalas or other pictures. You can help your kids to take beautiful pictures to save their master pieces forever. Go wild and change the canvases, play with filters, combine colors... Another game that you could play with your little treasures is to reproduce patterns.
