Periscopio Matemático

Hola!

ASSEMBLY TIME!

Hello! By popular demand, here you have a video reviewing the songs and steps that María O. and I follow during assembly time with your kids. We hope you find it useful at the time of doing assembly role playing with your children at home. It is not a proper assembly because the most important part is missing, our pupils!!!! But it was so fun to record it for all of you. When you play with your children do not forget to recruit all the people at home, or all the toys, dolls and plushes in the house. Some useful language that you can use and your children already know: I s BuzzLightyear at the school today? Yes, I am! Good morning! Is George Pig at the school today? Yes, I am! Good morning!   Is Tiger at the school today? No! He is at home. At home, at home, Tiger is at home. Playlist: Good morning song: very personal version of Dream English . Counting song: Dream English.com . Days of the week: Martin and Rose Music and Dream English Mix. Months of the ...

Nature Hunt // Earth Day

Hello! I'd like to invite you and your children to a Nature Hunt at home. Yes, you did read well, at home. As we can not go out and look for little treasures from Nature like stones, sticks, pine cones, flowers, leaves etc. I propose you to look around your home and retrieve that fine stuff that can fill in that "Natural Treasure" cathegory, those objects that you and your family gathered through hikes, park days and picnic moments. If you and your kids feel crafty, you can use your treasures to design mandalas or other pictures. You can help your kids to take beautiful pictures to save their master pieces forever. Go wild and change the canvases, play with filters, combine colors... Another game that you could play with your little treasures is to reproduce patterns. Classifying and ordering are good skills, related to our Kindergarten stage, to practise with your children at home. For older kids, you can also give them codified patterns to reproduce, o...

1, 2, 3... EggSmash it!

Hello! Wishing that you are spending a nice Easter break, here I bring you a very relaxing activity for children of all ages. These are the materials you need to play this game: Egg shells Marker Mace or hammer Dice Depending on the age of your children, you can design the game one way or another. I decided to craft it in order to review counting and number recognition. For this you write the numbers you want to review on the eggs, with a permanent marker. Then lay them in a tray, and provide your child with a hammer or similar, and a dice. They have to roll the dice and smash the proper eggs. Let them play in a safe place, so they can enjoy it as much as possible. I hope this game help you having a great time with your little ones at home. Feel free to comment and share your game improvements!!! Have a smashing Easter Break!!!

Math and Fun

Hello! Today I'd like to share with you a game that I usually play both at home, with L. and at school, with my students. You can play it in your mother tongue or any other language you find useful or fun. It is a fun game to explore and move around. Playing it your children will learn vocabulary, review counting and numbers, classify, and the most important part: they will have fun. Resources: Card or paper: it can be coloured or you can colour it. Pencils. How to play: You only need to draw numbers in your cards, from 1 to any number you consider your child will be able to play. Give each card a colour. Finally, explore around the house and look for as many coloured things as the card says, for example: one orange thing . It is very simple to prepare, and you can add as many variations as you like. Plus, you’ll benefit from a move and fun moment during these long days. I wish you enjoy it!
