ASSEMBLY TIME!

Hello!
By popular demand, here you have a video reviewing the songs and steps that María O. and I follow during assembly time with your kids.
We hope you find it useful at the time of doing assembly role playing with your children at home.
It is not a proper assembly because the most important part is missing, our pupils!!!! But it was so fun to record it for all of you.
When you play with your children do not forget to recruit all the people at home, or all the toys, dolls and plushes in the house.

 Some useful language that you can use and your children already know:
  • Is BuzzLightyear at the school today? Yes, I am! Good morning!
  • Is George Pig at the school today? Yes, I am! Good morning!
  •  Is Tiger at the school today? No! He is at home. At home, at home, Tiger is at home.

Hello! I'd like to invite you and your children to a Nature Hunt at home. Yes, you did read well, at home. As we can not go out and look for little treasures from Nature like stones, sticks, pine cones, flowers, leaves etc. I propose you to look around your home and retrieve that fine stuff that can fill in that "Natural Treasure" cathegory, those objects that you and your family gathered through hikes, park days and picnic moments. If you and your kids feel crafty, you can use your treasures to design mandalas or other pictures. You can help your kids to take beautiful pictures to save their master pieces forever. Go wild and change the canvases, play with filters, combine colors... Another game that you could play with your little treasures is to reproduce patterns. Lemon Volcanoes

Hello! Next week we have planned some activities related to fruits and vegetables for our children from school. We have also prepared a great experiment that you can do at home: lemon volcanoes. MATERIALS: 1 or 2 lemons. Baking soda. Food coloring (optional). A little stick. PROCEDURE: First we have to cut the lemon's top and bottom, so you can place the lemon standing and they don't fall. Carve a little bit of the pulp, to make some room for the baking soda. Add some food colouring, in the hole you 've made before, if you want to make the eruption more expectacular. Pour a couple of tea spoons of baking soda inside too. With a wooden stick, let your child to prick the lemon to let the juice out and mix with the baking soda and enjoy the expectacle. Cloud Dough // Masa de nube

Hola! Hoy os traigo otra masa sensorial, que parece igual, pero no lo es. La masa de nube o cloud dough , es de una suavidad especial. Es ideal para hacer durante estos días de confitamiento porque se hace con cosas que tenemos en casa y nos sirve para aprender y practicar varias habilidades y procedimientos que debemos trabajar en la etapa evolutiva de nuestros peques de Educación Infantil. Cuando los ayudamos a preparar cloud dough  estamos aprendiendo cualidades de la materia, sobre densidades y los diferentes estados en los que podemos encontrar los elementos, y qué ocurre al mezclarlos entre sí. Planificar la receta, medir los ingredientes, verterlos y mezclarlos para finalmente, obtener un resultado es una práctica excelente para los peques y no tan peques de la casa, en la que, además de habilidades y procedimientos, vamos a trabajar también la sana autoestima que se deriva de saber que se está siendo capaz de hacer algo interesante.
